- Patricio Barrios, Spanish national, took up the responsability of Vice-President Operations as of 1 April 2006.

Patricio holds a PhD in Chemistry and an MBA from ESADE in Barcelona (Spain) and has more than 30 years experience within the copper industry. He started with Rio Tinto Patiño and became Vice-President Metallurgy of the Executive Board in 1993. In 1996 he was appointed Senior Vice-President Operations of Atlantic Copper, Spain. In 2004 he left Atlantic Copper and continued his career as an independent consultant.
